About TrackMyFilament

TrackMyFilament is a free 3D printing filament inventory tracker built for makers who want to know exactly what's on the shelf — and what's left on the spool — without digging through spreadsheets or guessing. Track filament by brand, material, and color, log usage as you print, monitor remaining weight and cost per spool, and manage filament loaded in your AMS units or external spool holders across multiple printers. A companion mobile app lets you log usage on the go, right from your phone.

Built by a 3D Printing Enthusiast

TrackMyFilament started with a simple idea.

I wanted a better way to track my 3D printing filament, but I couldn't find an application that did everything I needed. So I decided to build one—and once it started coming together, I thought, "Why not share it with the world?"

What began as a personal project has grown into an application designed to help makers organize their filament inventory, keep track of spool weights, remember material settings, and spend less time searching for filament and more time printing.

Why I Continue Building It

I use TrackMyFilament every time I buy a new spool or start a new print.

Every feature has been added because it solved a real problem that I encountered while 3D printing. My goal isn't to build the biggest filament database on the internet—it's to build the tool I always wished existed.
